Thutob Namgyal

Thutob Namgyal was half Brother of Sidekong Namgyal, he was consecrated 9th Chogyal of Sikkim. He died on in 1914.

• British apponted Claude White as the first Political Officer in Sikkim in 1889.
• Thutob Namgyal was virtually under his supervision.
• Thutob Namgyal shifted the capital from Tumlong to Gangtok in 1894.
