Sidkeong Namgyal

Sidkeong Namgyal son of Tsudphud Namgyal consecrated 8th Chogyal of Sikkim in 1863. British permitted Nepali traders operating in Sikkim to use the coins of Nepal amongst themselves. Sidkeong Namgyal died childless in 1874, he was succeeded by his half brother Thutob Namgyal.
