Festival of Limboo Community of Sikkim falls on the month of July. The Limboos celebrate this days as end of hardship and famine. The decorate the doors and windows and hung freshly harvested cucumbers, pumpkins, ginger, fruits and maize cobs, flowers and climbers of cucurbits etc. At the evening they beat the winnowing basket (Phoyet) and dance running around inside the house and finally around the house shouting "aayen ang tho sak yen pay ro, Mangwa cha-thi chase-nudhi tya ro", they worship Yuma Sam and pray for her visit. The Limboos believe that the almighty god Tagera Ningwaphuma, the earthy from or divinity from known as Yuma sam visits every house on that day and provides ample food materials for them.
