Phuntsok Namgyal

Phuntsok Namgyal was consecrated as the first King of Sikkim in the year 1642 at the age of 38, with the title of Chogyal, which means (Dharma King) the king who rules with righteousness. The the Capital of Sikkim was Yoksum.

Phuntsok Namgyal and other three holy gurus converted the [Lepcha] tribe under Buddhism.
