Kendriya Vidyalaya
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. They established Kendriya Vidyalaya Gangtok in 1976 in Deorali premises. Later, it was shifted to the New Cantonment Area of MTN. DIV.

Infrastructure and facilities
In 1982, The Kendrya Vidyalaya has been granted 9.34 acres of land by the State Government of Sikkim. School has its separate buildings for Primary, secondary and senior secondary classes. Seats and desks are sufficiently available in all the classes. School also has various Laboratories and Library.
Missions
- To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government employees including Defense and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education;
- To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education;
- To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc. and
- To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of "Indianness" among children.
Enrollment
Enrollment in the school are determined by the number of seats available in the classes. Schedule casts and schedule tribes have their own enrollment seats in the school.
School Uniform
School uniform is usually Navy Blue (pant or skirt), black shoes, white socks, and white shirt.
