Despite all the comments made by the judges, our hill boy Prashant Tamang made it to the final and won the title called Indian Idol 3. 7 Crore votes counted. he beats all odds, no formal training in music and coming from a police background that does not nurture a singer.. just to become the third Bharat ki Shaan .... Finally people came out bursting crackers, dancing and shouting across the cities and towns of Nepal as soon as sony declared Prashant Tamang the next indian idol.
Huge crowds were seen everywhere in Kathmandu, Pokhara,narayanghat,Banepa, Biratnagar, Dharan and kakarvitta.
People were shouting " Akhir Gorkhali ko jeet bhayo".

prashant is real brand ambassador, the true messenger for nepali people.. he just sent our message to all over the world..I personally felt that mission was accomplished.. when his mother & sister put Nepali Topi on him, and he sang "Gorkhali to Choro... Gorkhi Mero nam..".. yah.. man.. job is done, our hard-work paid off.

Prashant has done an excellent job.Do you think Ghising or other Gorkhalis learder can ever unite Nepalese in the way Prashant did? I say NO... He is a true son of Gorkhali. He doesnt hesitate to express what he is...What his history is and I think thats most important...We are nothing without our culture, traditions and history...I think he has given a very strong message to all the nepalese people. Time has put boarders between us. But even god can't boarder our heart...No matter where live, we all have the same history....the history of brave gorkhalis which we are known for, across the globe.
