Do you know guys, Prashant Tamang of darjeeling is selected for indian idol 3. anyone one from gangtok? infact i heard there's a girl from gangtok also.

Occupation: Sepoy with Kolkata police

He has been singing since childhood, After his father's death in 2001, he got job in Calcutta Police as substitution to his father and has been working with them since 2002 . He sings in the police orchestra, but never had any formal training. He wants to become the Indian Idol to prove himself and make the Kolkata police proud.

He thinks of himself as a simple person with simple thoughts and simple living.
In his free time, he plays pool with his friends. He also loves to play football.

wow thats a nice news..BTW do you have any youtube links of that selected guy.. just wanted to hear him sing..I am sure he is superb.

i think, he will not reach top 5 round in indian idol. he will be voted out before that.

then lets all come togethr and help that guy progress a bit...that will be a more practical approach towards the upbringing of our community rather than just typing things in sikkimonline.info

i am also from sikkim but till date i didnt heard about particiapants from sikkim in Indian Idol.

hey people prasant did a great singing yesterday.

couldn't see prashant's singing, no electricity whole night...

poor daddy....i can understand...out here in majhitar ...lights here are like water in desert...very precious to think of...but cant get it often....hey do somrthing abt it

yep, sometimes i hate gangtok, it's not the place you wanna be in rainy seasons. only half hour of thunderstorm caused light to go off for the whole night. I wonder with my finger crossed... how this town is prepared for some really big hits like earthquake.
