Thanks to himalayanreview (Shital Pradhan) for enforcing "photo contest" idea on my mind, it's really an innovative idea. After days of writing, modifying and adding codes, We now have full photo contest section where our amateur or even professional photographer members can participate, comment and vote.

The basic rules for the Photography Contest are simple for now.

• Participant must be Sikkim Online member.
• Entry is absolutely free.
• Photo taken must be original
• No text or watermarks, no nudity.
• Photo editing programs can be used to correct brightness, contrast, re-size etc., but do not over tamper.
• Winners are decided purely on Internet user votes.
• Ties are resolved by extending the contest deadline.

• What will I win?
  -Keeping things in mind, a Gold 3D trophy is awarded to the winning photo.
  
  
  
  
  HTML code to paste on the winner's website can be found on other page.
  
  The winners can use above trophy images paste it on the photo and display it on their websites as a memento, (a full sized PNG file is provided).
  Codes to paste on the website can be found here.
  And the photo will be featured on our Winning Photo Gallery. as well.
  
• Why my Photo rejected?
  The answer can be found in our rules above. If it complies with the rules, Photo never gets rejected.

Good job, Saran! It's good that the contest attracts immediate attention on the forum page. As a result, each photo's getting more number of votes, I see. I liked the 3D gold trophy, that's a star inside the Sikkim map, isnt it?

Oh, and I'd like to clarify rule #4 - no nudity except for pets.

thanks ... yes that's sikkim map! I though of making something else... but this one is unique.

BTW.. i realized that members were not able to upload more than 1 photo... well now you can upload up to 2 images. 1 for current contest, and another for upcomming contest..good luck!

I had error uploading photos....cud be size problem ...

did it say.."you are not allowed to upload more than one?" if that's the case, try again...

not exactly...the page that upload is half done.....

oh yes.. you need to resize it to maximum 800 pixel in width. The error is because of server timeout, since large file takes time to upload in server. If the file is not finished uploading within the timeline, it just goes blank! please manage this time, I'll think of something later!!
