Holy Cross School

Holy Cross School at Tadong, Gangtok, Sikkim was established in year 1985 by West Bengal Holy Cross Sister Society which is a registered society under the Societies Registration Act 1961. School is affiliated with CBSE, New Delhi in 1989. This coeducation institute has classes upto Senior Secondary level.

Discipline

The school strives to maintain high standard of education, social life and character building and academic training. In case a student is found to be unable to benefit from the facilities available or the school administration is satisfied that only the removal of the student can help to stop a negative influence that he/ she may have on others, the school reserves the right to remove the student from the school.

student failing twice in the same class/ examination will not be allowed to continue his studies in the school. If a student has failed in the Board Examination, re-admission will not be granted as per rules. He/she may appear as a private candidate only.

Leave for any medical consultation/ treatment of students arranged by parents will be granted only on production of medical prescriptions.

Student must be present in the school on the day the school reopens after vacation. If the student does not report on the new term and his fee is not received as per fee schedule, his name will be struck off the rolls. The reason of absence on the first day of the TERM should be genuine.


Attendance & Promotion

A student must have 90% of attendance in the School for promotion to next higher class along with required academic achievement. A minimum of 40% marks in each subject is considered for promotion. Students failing in English will not be promoted.


Withdrawal

If parents wish to withdraw their wards, they would be required to inform the school in writing at least one month before the date of withdrawal. If student is withdrawn any time after the commencement of the session from the school, full fee of the term will be charged. Similarly if a boarder is withdrawn from the hostel any time after the commencement of the term full boarding charges will have to be paid and even security deposit would be forfeited.

St. Xavier's

St. Xavier’s School was founded in 1952, and it is located at Pakyong town in East Sikkim. This Christian co-educational school is owned and administered by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Darjeeling and Sikkim.

A candidate is required to sit an admission test in English and Math subjects in the month of November for the new session, which stars from February. Admission Tests are held for classes U.K.G. to VII and interviews for L.K.G.

Sikkim Manipal University

Sikkim Manipal University was incorporated under Sikkim's Lagislative Act (Axt IX 1995). It is recognized by the Union Ministry of Human Resources Development. SMU’s Degrees/Diploma/Certificates are recognized by all members of Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
