Digital Photography: Highlights for BeginnersDigital photography, as you may know, is the science and art of manipulating digital photographs. Producing digital photos can be done in a few ways, such as: Directly, with a digital camera; by capturing a “frame” from a video; or by scanning a conventional photograph. When the photograph is in digital format, it can be applied to a wide variety of special effects with image enhancing software. Then it can be printed out on a normal printer, or sent to a developing studio, or photo department, where it can be applied to photographic paper. Digital photos are not as high a resolution as photos produced from film. Digital photography is really ideal when you need instant, low- resolution pictures. Low-resolution pictures are very useful for photos being displayed on the World-wide Web. When applied this way, web graphics need to be low-resolution, so they can be downloaded quickly. A good point to remember about digital photography: it will allow excellent refinement of tone, dynamics, detail, color, spotting and re-touching. Digital photography allows more flexibility when compared to conventional photography and working in a dark room. Digital photography allows us to do the same we have always done, except it’s easier. However, caution should be taken when considering the “lighting” in a picture. For example: where is the Sun’s location? Should that lamp be behind the subject of my photograph? The lighting cannot be changed digitally or in a Photo shop http://www.topamarketing.com/site/1618467/page/767899
