Book/Movie Review

Postby tenzpas » 02 Jan 2009, 23:27

Hey people,
It would be really nice if you all could share with us some nice books that you've read or movies/documentaries that you've seen in recent times and give a very very short review on that. I'm sure many of us here would be delighted and appreciative of the reviewers. Looking forward to your replies.

PS: I request you all not to post spoilers. Thanks.

I guess i'll start off..

Movie: Perfume-The Story of a Murderer

I guess this has to be one of the best movies i've seen so far. I found the story pretty intense and the characters very grueling. Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, born in the stench of eighteenth century Paris, develops a superior olfactory sense, which he uses to create the world's finest perfumes. His work, however, takes a dark turn as he tries to preserve scents in the search for the ultimate perfume. The movie has a pretty good pace but a sort-of satirical ending. But the second last scene is killer, a little strange but killer.
You guys have to check this one out.
